The City of Pasay is one of the cities and municipalities that comprise Metro Manila in the Philippines. The City is known for
its entertainment - business-restaurants, coffee shops, and clubs, particularly those located along Roxas Boulevard, facing
Manila Bay. It is a residential suburb of Manila and a commercial center with an estimated population of 408,610. The City has
a total land area of 18.50 square kilometers which include the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Among the local
government in the region, Pasay has the greater area devoted to utilities covering 51% of its total land.
   
BUSINESS PROBLEMS
 

While there are continuous economic advances within the city, local governance and services are considered below par. The city managers need to be more responsive to the growing needs of the communities and provide better services. The current systems and processes are not efficient enough to help maximize their revenue collection to help fund additional services.
 
THE PDR SOLUTION
 
The solution is designed for government agencies to facilitate tax revenue collection. It is a decision support tools for local government users. It integrate parcel, zoning, and facility data in a single, easy-to-use web interface powered with Autodesk technology. It helps improve service delivery of government services to residents and city workers through its internet mapping technology.
 
The solution is based on Autodesk MapGuide web-based mapping software, which uses geographic information systems (GIS). The municipalities receive up-to-date geographic data such as city maps and land zoning information quickly—via a centralized Internet/Intranet portal. Autodesk MapGuide allows municipal workers to enter information that can be queried and displayed into a map format that users can access simply by logging onto the Internet/Intranet. Whereas paper maps were time-consuming and quickly outdated, the use of electronic maps ensures that if one portion of the map changes it can be immediately altered with a few keystrokes and applied to every map affected by the change.

  Easy internet access – municipal workers now have a 24x7 access to a range of useful government services and information.
  Streamlined information sharing procedures between city departments, with the creation of a centralized web-based solution that can be updated in real time. It also allows municipal workers to create specialized mapping applications such as monitoring traffic patterns, property tax assessment, municipal elections and infrastructure management.
  Let you have municipal data at your fingertips. The solution can pull together information and data from a variety of sources, and puts it into maps you can view, save or print out. For example, it can show you property lines, zoning information, sewer mains, water mains, addresses and public places.
